Objectives
General Objective: To study, analyze, and disseminate with academic rigor the dimensions in which the fundamental right to religious freedom is expressed, its relationship with other rights, and the institutional relationships between the State and religious denominations, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Specific Objectives
- To identify and research the different dimensions of the fundamental right to religious freedom, its promotion and protection; as well as the institutional relationships between States and religious denominations, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- To promote academic encounters and exchanges among professionals dedicated to the study of law and religion and their manifestations in society.
- To provide training programs that allow for a better understanding of the relationship between law and religion.
- To collaborate with national and international institutions in the recognition, respect, and promotion of the right to religious freedom.
