Who We Are
Objectives
General objective: To study, analyze, and disseminate the different dimensions in which the fundamental right to religious freedom is expressed, its relationships with other rights, and the institutional relationships between the State and religious denominations, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Specific objectives
- Identify and investigate the different dimensions of the fundamental right to religious freedom, its promotion and prevention, and the institutional relations between States and religious denominations, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Promote academic exchange and collaboration among professionals dedicated to the study of law and religion and its manifestations in society.
- Provide undergraduate and postgraduate training programs that allow for a better understanding of the relationship between law and religion.
- Collaborate with national and international institutions in the promotion and prevention of religious freedom.
