Description of the evolution and transition of ecclesiastical law in Chile and its growing relevance in the legal context. The article analyzes the constitutional framework of religious freedom, the relationship between the State and churches, the recognition and regulation of religious organizations (Local Communities Act 1997, Civil Code, Religious Entities Act 1999), and key issues such as religion and society, ministers of worship, labor law and religious freedom, as well as denominational schools. It emphasizes greater academic and judicial recognition of the area in recent decades.
