Critical analysis of Law No. 19,638 (1999) regarding the legal constitution of churches and religious organizations in Chile. While the legislative effort to guarantee religious freedom is acknowledged, the author highlights the ambiguities and imprecisions within its articles and how these may cause difficulties in its application and in the interpretation of rights for religious entities.
