FORT LAUDERDALE –\u00a0La Directora del Centro UC Derecho y Religi\u00f3n, profesora Ana Mar\u00eda Celis particip\u00f3 como expositora en el 8\u00b0 Congreso Mundial de Libertad Religiosa realizada entre los d\u00edas 22 y 24 de junio de 2017, en Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Estados Unidos.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Entre los 700 asistentes, participaron m\u00e1s de 40 renombrados acad\u00e9micos, abogados, autoridades oficiales y l\u00edderes religiosos de m\u00e1s de 20 nacionalidades.\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
El Congreso abord\u00f3 la situaci\u00f3n actual de la libertad religiosa y se centr\u00f3 es dos aspectos fundamentales: su promoci\u00f3n (medios y m\u00e9todos, tolerancia y solidaridad) y la paz y la libertad religiosa (libertad religiosa como incentivo a la paz, como un camino y logro a la paz, paz sostenible, modelos de coexistencia pac\u00edfica).<\/div>\n

El mi\u00e9rcoles 23 de agosto la profesora Celis expuso en la sesi\u00f3n plenaria Freedom of Religion and Hope for Peaceul Co-existence<\/em>, sobre el tema \u201cModels of peaceful coexistence, a Latin America perspective\u201d. Tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en la sesi\u00f3n paralela Freedom of Religion or Belief and national Security: a Regional Analysis, <\/em>con el tema \u201cConflictos de derechos y el estado de la libertad religiosa en Am\u00e9rica Latina\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
