Latin American and Caribbean Religious Freedom Observatory<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Center&#8217;s work includes the Latin American and Caribbean Religious Freedom Observatory, which consists of the permanent monitoring of the religious freedom situation in the region. It gathers legal updates (laws, bills, decrees, rulings, etc.), news, and institutional information regarding religious freedom and the relations between the State and religious organizations throughout the region.  <br\/> <br\/>As a means of dissemination and community engagement, the Observatory features the Legal Bulletin, a monthly publication disseminating legal news related to religious freedom and religious organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is distributed monthly via digital channels, free of charge, to over 2,100 subscribers in Chile and abroad, 40% of whom are academics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large my-32\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/derechoyreligion-uc.urantiacos.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Foto-20-Banderas-II-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/derechoyreligion-uc.urantiacos.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Foto-20-Banderas-II-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/derechoyreligion-uc.urantiacos.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Foto-20-Banderas-II-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/derechoyreligion-uc.urantiacos.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Foto-20-Banderas-II-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/derechoyreligion-uc.urantiacos.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Foto-20-Banderas-II-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/derechoyreligion-uc.urantiacos.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Foto-20-Banderas-II.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, it is essential to foster a critical mass within academia that contributes to generating specialized, scientific doctrine to serve as an input for the work of judges and legislators. To this end, the Center publishes the Latin American Journal of Law and Religion, which aims to establish itself as a periodic forum for knowledge and intellectual exchange regarding the legal specialty of law and religion; it is a scientific, fully digital publication\u2014both in its distribution and its management system (article submission, peer review, communication with readers and authors, etc.)\u2014offering free open access, double-blind peer review, and biannual periodicity.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity uc-hr mt-60 mb-40\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading mb-24\">2.
